India Tourism Guwahati (Ministry of Tourism, Government of India) and Finderbridge Tourism are going to host the first of its kind Northeast Photography Award 2021 virtually on the theme of Northeast India and Tourism.
It is an initiative to appreciate the work and efforts of photographers, showcase their best creative works globally, and recognition to their contribution to the Northeast Tourism Industry since the beginning.
“We believe this award event will help to promote the pristine beauty of Northeast India, its tourism, and all the works of photographers on a global level,” said Dr. S.S. Devbarman, Regional Director, (Northeast), Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
“I believe that photography is the most underrated element of the tourism industry and without photography and photographer’s contribution, there is no tourism,” said Himangshu Baruah, Founder of Finderbridge. “So this is a step to celebrate Northeast India through photography and I believe this can grow to one of the biggest photography award events of the country in upcoming years.”
Mizoram Tourism has also appreciated and supported this tourism initiative and the renowned Jury Members of this award are Mr. Himadri Bhuyan, Mr. Arpan Kalita, Mr. Vicky Roy, Mr. Nejib Ahmed, and Mr. Dheeraj Khandelwal.
The awards will be announced on 27 September 2021 i.e. World Tourism Day at the social media channels and Finderbridge Website. There will be an exclusive webinar on 19 August 2021 on the occasion of World Photography Day.
